It’s been a while since I posted a recipe, but the Dutch Baby that we made this weekend is too good not to share.

Serves 4


2 eggs

1/2 cup of whole milk

1/2 cup of flour

pinch of salt

1 tsp vanilla

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp powdered sugar


Place a 12-inch cast iron skillet into the oven and preheat to 475*F. While the oven preheats, whisk eggs in a large bowl. When the eggs are properly whisked, whisk in the milk, vanilla, and salt. Slowly whisk in the flour. Once the oven is preheated, melt the butter in the skillet ensuring the sides are buttered as well. Pour the batter in, place the skillet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until browned. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
