Fully in Bloom

I spend more time outside now-a-days. Most of that time is spent running after Sophia or chauffeuring her around the neighborhood in her happening tricycle. There are those precious minutes, however, that we walk around and smell all the flowers that are in bloom. Thought I’d share what we saw in our yard today.

What a beautiful variety of blossoms! Is the first one a peony? You are lucky to have such lovely flowers in your garden. Love, B

      Bubbie,
The first one is indeed a peony. I have a deep maroon bush in the front yard that just bloomed yesterday. Will probably plant a bush or two for next spring.

Thank you! We’ve since had a few peonies bloom … I am making plans to plant a few more peony bushes for next year.

I love peony, we had it in our “dacha” garden. They are very pretty. We always took some with us, when going home.

Yeah, we had them at my grandmother’s home… in her garden. I cut some down yesterday and put them in a vase. They were weighing down the bush… lovely.
